Free books on a Kindle: 70,000 classics in the browser

Project Gutenberg has over 70,000 free books whose copyright has expired: classics, philosophy, adventure, science and more. You can read them straight on a Kindle without downloading files or sending them by email.

How it works

KindleHub's reader searches the whole Gutenberg catalogue and opens the full text in the Kindle's browser, split into pages that fit the screen. It remembers where you stopped.

Open the reader

Compared with sending files

Sending EPUBs by email or cable gives you the Kindle's own reader and its features, and is better for long sessions. Reading in the browser is quicker to start and works on a Kindle that cannot sync, or on a friend's.

Opening it on your Kindle

  1. On the Kindle, open the menu and choose Web Browser (on some models it is under Experimental or the … menu).
  2. Type kindlehub.pro into the address bar.
  3. Bookmark it. Nothing to install, no jailbreak, and a firmware update cannot break it.
