Multiplayer games on a Kindle (no jailbreak)

A Kindle is not just a solo device any more. From its stock browser you can play with, and against, other people.

Many Hands: one village for everyone

Everyone on KindleHub builds one shared village. Tap two stones whose numbers add up to 10 and they are laid in the village. When enough stones are laid, that landmark is finished for everybody and the next one starts: a well, a path, a bridge, a cottage, a windmill, a clock tower, and then the lane keeps growing houses.

You can play without an account and still watch the village grow.

Head to head

The Games screen has an Online tab for games against somebody on another device. Chess there is rated, with a rating that moves after each game (see online chess on a Kindle).

Why it suits e-ink

Every one of these is turn-based or tap-driven, so the screen only redraws what changed and nothing depends on fast animation.

Open KindleHub

Opening it on your Kindle

  1. On the Kindle, open the menu and choose Web Browser (on some models it is under Experimental or the … menu).
  2. Type kindlehub.pro into the address bar.
  3. Bookmark it. Nothing to install, no jailbreak, and a firmware update cannot break it.
