Play Freedoom: Phase 1 on your Kindle
How to play
Needs a computer, phone or tablet: the Kindle's own browser has no WebAssembly, which this engine is. A complete free game on the DOOM engine, made by the Freedoom project: four episodes of nine maps. The same controls as DOOM: arrows walk and turn, side arrows strafe, FIRE shoots, USE opens doors, MENU for the menu, 1-4 for weapons. Real-time at 35 frames a second: play it on a colour screen if you can.
Like every game in KindleHub, Freedoom: Phase 1 is drawn once and only the parts that change are redrawn, so the e-ink screen does not flash between moves. It runs in the Kindle's built-in browser and in any phone, tablet or desktop browser.
How to open it on your Kindle
- On the Kindle, open the menu and choose Web Browser (on some models it is under Experimental or the … menu).
- Type kindlehub.pro into the address bar.
